Texas French Symposium relies heavily on volunteers from the community to make each year’s competition possible. Judges are needed for French-language events (poetry and prose recitation, drama group, sight-reading, extemporaneous speaking) as well as studio art and music (vocal and instrumental). No experience in any of the academic language categories is needed; one simply needs to speak French! To judge an art or music category, volunteers should have a background in those events, but no knowledge of French is needed.
- Judges will be provided with event guidelines and criteria by the French Symposium Board prior to judging their events. In addition, all judges are eligible for a certificate of professional growth & development or volunteer community service hours.
